SOC Security Helpdesk Engineers (L1 /L2/ $3K-$4K+AWS+VB) ref:JT

• Responsible to monitor the customers’ network traffic to identify security incidents with the use of security software tools
• To conduct initial investigations & security analysis on security alerts from various security tools including Firewall, IDS/IPS, Anomaly detection systems and user behaviour analytics
• To provide timely response to security alerts and incidents (SLA) and report security incidents and communicate with end-users via email or phone calls
• Follow up on security incidents with the End-User to ensure security incidents raised are responded and closed as accordingly
• To escalation and coordination with hardware maintenance vendor for fault resolution and perform non-disruptive physical checks for infrastructure equipment
• To ensure that network equipment is up to date with latest patches and firmware

• Degree / Diploma in IT or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years IT working experiences in a SOC operations (24×7) environment will be advantageous
• Familiar with network protocols. (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc)
• Understanding of threats reported by security devices such as Firewalls with IDS/IPS capabilities and Proxy etc and ability to identify threats reported by various Security Devices such as Firewalls with IDS/IPS capabilities, Proxy etc.
• Experience in Anti-DDoS and fine-tuning of security events/alerts on SIEM platform.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
