Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters spanning a wide range of areas, as applicable to the wealth management business.
- Draft, monitor, and review template legal contracts, offering training to stakeholders on their proper implementation.
- Actively participate in negotiations, assisting in structuring and executing non-standard complex third-party contractual arrangements and other corporate transactions.
- Assist relevant teams in establishing new product offerings, defining the legal framework for the distribution of various financial products while managing legal exposure within the established risk parameters.
- Review, draft, implement, and monitor policies, processes, and procedures pertaining to legal support for relevant stakeholders.
- Provide clear, accurate, and commercially focused legal advice and support to the senior management team, ensuring that business objectives and targets are achieved while effectively managing legal risks.
- Proactively anticipate, identify, and manage legal risks, taking corrective action as necessary to safeguard the interests of SJP across Asia and the Middle East.
- Maintain proper inventory control
Requirements
- Diploma in Law, LLB or similar legal qualification.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of employment law, tax law, export regulations, and government compliance is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
