COMPLIANCE MANAGER ($5000-$6500/AWS/VB)ref: TK

$6500 + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location: East

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and update global compliance policies and procedures that are aligned at Group level and integrated with the Group’s business strategy and operations. Examples of such policies and procedures include anti-bribery and corruption, Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), sanctions, conflict of interest, third-party associates, gifts and hospitality.
  • Develop and implement the relevant internal procedures to ensure compliance policies are adhered to, including mechanisms to address reports of compliance violation.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Group sanctions compliance program, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with sanctions laws and regulations. Ensure consistent advice and interpretation of sanctions regulations and provide timely updates on sanctions related matters to the Group’s Business Units and Corporate Functions.
  • Oversee the sanctions compliance team to ensure that sanctions screening for the Group’s counterparties are carried out in accordance with the Group’s sanctions compliance policy and guidelines. To also review any escalations of sanctions screening hits.
  • As part of the Group’s operational compliance requirements, conduct review of operating licenses, legal register, business operating permits and registrations required for the lawful operation of the Group and its businesses.
  • Oversight and monitoring of the Group’s property business adherence to URA’s AML/CFT regulations.
  • As the Compliance risk champion for the Group, drive compliance risk awareness and culture across the Group through compliance trainings. This will include developing and conducting compliance training workshops and/or selecting and managing appropriate third-party vendors, maintaining the Group’s compliance online portal to ensure the contents are updated and case studies are communicated as part of best practices sharing.
  • Liaise with global stakeholders on compliance related matters, including but not limited to leading compliance-related projects and providing compliance advisory to senior stakeholders across the Group’s businesses.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Economics, Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
