Responsibilities
- Under broad direction; leads and directs both domestic and international supplier development activities for multiple Product Service Lines, Manufacturing facilities, and either service oriented or product categories
- Position will assist technology, contract manufacturing with the identification and prioritization of sourcing efforts, leveraging cost saving applications, and innovative practices for optimizing the reduction of lead time and total cost
- Cut PO and provide timely updates on deliverables, assists with the implementation of consistent planning, scheduling, and resource management processes to meet varying projects
- Analyzes project schedules and provides recommendations for corrective action when necessary. Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide project support as needed.
- Implements agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management
- Creates request for quotations (RFQ) and organizes competitive biddings from various suppliers to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services
- Assesses supplier performance.
- Provides input and compliance to all policies and procedures; including those associated with International Trade Compliance.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or Supply Chain Management or similar discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management activities / experience; MBA is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
