Location: Central
Responsibilities
- Source and qualify new parts and suppliers in line with commodities strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Quality, etc.) in executing these strategies.
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) discussions with strategic suppliers at NPI stage to optimize the design and identify right manufacturing processes which are suitable for mass production.
- Rapid prototyping to support (NPID) New Product Introduction and Development to support timely product implementations into the market.
- Drive improvements in suppliers ‘process quality, delivery and cost to meet business targets and initiatives.
- Assess suppliers’ technical competencies and capabilities and match suppliers’ strengths to the company’s technical & quality requirements and influence cross functional teams on suppliers’ selection.
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risk to ensure business continuity.
- Understand and establish supply chain requirements (e.g. production vs delivery lot size, production vs delivery lead time, etc) with suppliers to meet operational requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, and operational procurement.
- Effective communication skills and team player.
