Responsibilities
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, shipyards, relevant internal departments and internal Shipping Department
- Review and ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided
- Processing payments and invoices upon verification
- Maintaining Company’s purchase flow process and ensure adherence to the process by the Shipping Department
- Training and supervising of purchasing executives
Requirements
- Degree in Purchasing / Supply Chain related
- Min 3 years experience in Purchasing function, particularly in Shipping Industry
- Experience in ship docking management
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
