OPERATIONS MANAGER (Biotech) ($8000-$12,500/AWS/VB)ref: KE

$12,500 + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location:  West

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and manage shift resources to meet production schedule and output targets with special focus on leave management promoting a culture of low absenteeism.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
• Manage performance of the shift, including review of shift performance metrics.
• Responsible for front line troubleshooting of process & equipment problems and take action to prevent re-occurrence.
• Develop, revise and review SOPs as needed to cover routine production activities.
• Carry out on-the-job training for technicians, including cGMP, SOPs and safety procedures. Ensure training is conducted to the shop floor in a timely manner 100% training completion.
• Works closely with the IPT technical trainer to co-develop the foundation and advance training packages including the competency based framework.
• Create a continuous improvement mind-set in the Operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, including Chemical, Mechanical or Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience preferably in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or related industry.
• experience  in operations, pharmaceutical technical operations, quality assurance, MPS or similar role is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
