Location: South
Responsibilities
- Establish/monitor/maintain product quality and reliability standards for Aruba wireless and wired products. Own cost of quality and manage throughout the life of the product.
- Performs Supplier Quality Systems Assessment and supplier process reviews and identify gaps/opportunities in Supplier QMS/Processes and drive Continuous Improvement projects
- Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and material specifications
- Closely work with supplier to develop quality processes and drive “Zero Defect” mentality
- Establish dashboards and metrics and use a data-driven approach to problem identification and resolution.
- Utilize statistical quality tools to establish performance baselines and identify focus areas for product performance enhancements and improvements.
- Interface with suppliers and CMs (Contract Manufacturers) to monitor quality and reliability. Establish quality targets, drive continuous quality and reliability improvements at suppliers.
- Provide consultation to the manufacturing and commodity teams in the selection, sourcing, qualification, and application of suppliers used in the Aruba/HPE supply chain.
Requirements
- BS degree in ME, EE, IE or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and Quality Control
- Experience with the following is highly desirable: SMT, mechanical enclosures, metal casting, ink / paint / adhesive manufacturing, plastic parts, injection molding, stamping,
- Knowledge/experience of Lean Six Sigma, process mapping and improvement, as well as experience working with Suppliers
