Responsibilities
- Drive generic deliverables based on the Product structure and lead time and capacity needs, with business continuity and supply chain risk management plan in place.
- Review and create manufacturing procedures, build sequence, methods, and quality documentation such as Operational Method Sheet, work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists according to material and assembly specifications.
- Drive engineering design and documentation changes according to defined change management workflows and ensure timely and quality execution at CM according to required schedules.
- Drive product and process quality improvements by supporting Manufacturers on systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and recommend solutions.
- Engage with Business Units to influence Design for Manufacturing concepts and Bill of Materials integrity in reducing labor cost and material cost to meet the overall product cost targets.
- Assist Quality teams to reduce Non-Conformance per tool rate and provide technical assistance to CM for defective part return for failure analysis.
- Manage regular audits of CM manufacturing sites to ensure stable and robust build and test process, and continuous first pass yield improvement.
- Engage with Field Support and BUs to build the capability of the Engineering team on the equipment and process knowledge of ASM equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Materials/ Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with operational excellence tools (Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, 6-sigma, Cpk, GR&R and SPC).
- Experience in implementing Design for Manufacturing and Lean concepts is a plus.
