SAFETY COORDINATOR ($2800-$3800/AWS/VB)ref: JE

$3800 + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location:  East

Responsibilities

• Supervising and co-ordinating safety aspects and procedures as required under the Workplace Safety & Health Act
• Assist the WSHE Officer to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice in the worksite
• Assist the WSHE Officer to implement reasonable practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice
• Check Sub-Contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, including the provisions of the WSH (Construction) Regulations
• Monitor risk assessment compliance and report to WSHE Officer for any non-compliance
• Ensure risk assessment control measures are implemented for all site activities
• Be prepared to stop work or to notify the WSHE Officer in the event of any WSHE deviations

Requirements

• Minimum WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace, Safety and Health related qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in facilities operating / engineering, including experience with infrastructure is a plus.
• Excellent communication and people engagement skills
