Responsibilities
- Provide scientific support and technical input on claims development & substantiation.
- Monitor and evaluate science landscape, ingredients, and technology opportunities.
- Determine science-based nutrition profiles for new and improved products, considering safety, nutritional suitability, and efficacy of ingredients and formulations.
- Effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences both internally and externally.
- Effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
- Network broadly with external/internal technical community to assure access to current and innovative technologies and scientific advances.
- Identify, lead and/or contribute to nutrition research that addresses business needs.
- Help develop and review educational and promotional materials for consumers and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Advanced degree, (RD, MS, Ph.D. may be an advantage but not required), in nutrition or related discipline, with excellent general knowledge of nutrition.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in pediatric and/or adult nutrition is preferred.
- Attention to accuracy and detail with good analytical, organizational skills, and follow-through.
