Location: East
Responsibilities
- Generate innovative ideas and initiative in new product design.
- Involved in full product development cycle from conceptual design, component selection, part detail design, managing vendor tool fabrication, parts approval and mass production.
- Involved in product sustenance engineering and valve engineering.
- Ensure product design meets mandatory and quality requirements, within targeted cost and project timeline.
- Liaise with vendors on parts, tools or moulds fabrication to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Setup and perform Product Validation Test to qualify products developed.
- Experience in assessing supplier capability will be an added advantage.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering with at least 2 years’ related experience in designing for medium to large scale production.
- Knowledge in material and component selection.
- Experience in designing products using sheet metal and plastic parts.
- Experience in using 3D CAD such as Solidworks or Pro-E (Creo) for product design is a must.
