Responsibilities
- Execute procurement strategies for food ingredients, and evaluate reliable vendors based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct regular supplier performance reviews, and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on food ingredient trends, prices, and availability
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, favorable payment terms, and ensure long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality control, and finance, to understand ingredient requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and analysis related to procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to procurement and food safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years in procurement within the food industry, preferably in food ingredients.
- Strong knowledge of food ingredient specifications, market trends, and sourcing strategies
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in SAP
