PROCUREMENT ENGINEER ($3800-$5000/AWS/VB)ref: SA

$5K + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location: West

Responsibilities

• Research and understand market leaders of various products/commodities including new products, product trend, specifications and cost.
• Know the market leaders in automation component industry (e.g., linear & rotary motion, power transmission, Pneumatic & Vacuum components, thermal components, etc) and market suppliers
• Follow up automation component industry latest technology development.
• Monitoring supply/demand, market and trend (e.g., material price changes, availability and lead times, changes in suppliers) and interpreting the impact of these trends on company strategies
• Identify manufacturers and products and provide sourcing and technical assistance (technical specifications, etc) to Designers & Engineers
• Recommend and provide options and solutions to designers and engineers via alternate or second sourcing to ensure resiliency and continuity of supply
• Generation of Purchase Order and process change orders.
• Liaise with respective Division/s and other functional personnel.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Purchasing / Merchandising/ Procurement is a plus.
• Good communication and negotiation skill
