OCEAN FREIGHT OFFICER ($2600-$4000/AWS/VB)ref: MJT

$4K + AWS + VB + allowance

5 working days, Mon – Fri, normal office hours

Location:  East

Responsibilities

• knowledge of local import/export regulations and requirements, staying abreast of new regulations and programs that may impact the operations.
• Liaise with outsourced vendor (e.g. trucking) and manage performance to ensure desire service levels can achieve.
• Ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented in response to any findings in the internal/external compliance audits.
• Ensure work processes stay relevant to the current operating arena and customer expectations.
• Report and resolve issues and address any ocean freight operations concerns.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
• Monitor or involve in daily operations works as mentioned below:
• Communicate with shipper or receive booking from shipper.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree of any discipline, preferably in Logistics & Supply Chain/Business Administration.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Transportation or Freight Forwarding related field.
• Knowledge on Strategic Goods Management, Export Control and Internal Compliance Program (ICP) is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
