Location: West
Responsibilities
- Analyse problems and/or deficiencies; thereafter, conceptualise, plan and develop mechanical solutions and designs for new product
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing to support design work
- Research of cutting-edge robotic technologies and conceptualise new robotic products based on new technologies and market needs
- Develop robotic systems including sub-component selections and electrical interface designs using model-based development (MBD) methodology
- Create & review technical drawings, plans, and specifications of components & systems using computer-aided software for machining / fabrication / manufacturing
- Conduct FEA study to optimise the structural performance of components & systems
- Conduct experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs
- Conduct tolerance stack analysis to ensure the component tolerances satisfy precision system performance
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or any other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge in properties of engineering materials and their applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
