Location: Central
Responsibilities
- Works closely with AP site logistics team to ensure shipment meets operation needs & monitor freight forwarders’ delivery performance.
- Acts as point of escalation to resolve freight issues in AP. Ensure freight forwarder’s corrective and preventive action is effective.
- Manages & conducts regular performance review with freight forwarders at site/ AP level.
- Monitors AP sites’ freight cost through regular freight bill audits and lead site team on improvement projects (mode shift, service level improvement, consolidation, leakages etc.).
- Manages Logistics cost to meet budgets & cost savings plan.
- Ability to engage internal & external stakeholders to derive solutions for any project/ assignment tasked.
- Supports mode team in AP by gathering business unit requirements.in terms of Spend, Volume, transit time, service failure etc.) for E-sourcing events.
- Leads change management with new forwarders for the different modes (Air Cargo freight, Ocean freight, Parcel & Ground services).
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in relevant discipline, preferably Business Administration / Supply Chain or Logistics.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in the Logistics environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Techniques, ISO 9002 Quality System and Inventory Management will be an added advantage.
- Have the negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers.
