Responsibilities
- Establishing systems and procedures to manage user data requests from local authorities to ensure compliance with any existing and upcoming regulations
- Preparing and reviewing privacy policies, terms of use, and potentially data transfer and data protection policies
- Work closely with sales, product, partnerships and finance and customers
- Developing a legal strategy that balances risk exposure and business pragmatism across APAC region
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts with external counterparts
- Overseeing regional expansion plans by ensuring accurate briefings to and liaising with external legal counsel
- Advising stakeholders in sales, product and partnerships on potential legal risks that may arise in connection with the development of new features and products and providing mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Degree in law or related
- Min 5 years in start up operations in telecommunication industry
- Experience with an in-house legal environment is a plus
