Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will become a technical leader on a team that manages key technology suppliers to drive product quality through manufacturing process control, failure prevention, and manufacturing techniques and efficiencies
- Candidate should have Semiconductor, Aerospace, Automotive or relative industry-based technical expertise in Manufacturing Engineering/Part Fabrication best practices or Material Sciences.
- Candidate will work with Key Product Unit (KPU) Engineering teams across global design and manufacturing centers to ensure that products are delivered to meet all specifications and requirements
- Candidate will develop manufacturing capabilities, drive FMEA, and implement Process Control Systems (PCS) at key supplier sites including the definition of measurement and metrology methods
- Candidate will support Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis of data for internal and external customers (Development Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, NPI, etc.)
- Candidate will lead the initial engagement, auditing, and qualification of identified regional suppliers
- Candidate will independently lead supplier improvement projects with key suppliers as well as train and qualify newly engaged key suppliers during onboarding processes
- Candidate will work independently on multiple projects to solve problems of various degrees of complexity and lead projects to improve product performance (performance, reliability, cost, etc.).
Requirements
- MS in Engineering/Science discipline (Engineering, Physics, or Material Sciences)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Semiconductor equipment industry experience is a plus
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
