Responsibilities
- In charge of databases, network (VPCs, IPSec VPN, Layer 3 & 4 routing), monitoring (SRE), incident management and security (all layers of the stack, patching, vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS/SIEM)
- Undertake projects related to cybersecurity systems for on-premises and cloud inclusive of provisioning, installations, configurations as well as monitoring and maintenance.
- Plan, analyse, develop, implement, test and maintain as per requirements for new or existing networks
- Design and architect with Security by Design framework, enabling automated data security controls and built-in security into the infrastructure (on-Prem and cloud networks)
- Provide technical support and advice to users on network-related issues or queries i.e. problem resolution and documentation, troubleshoot problems, escalating to upper-level associates as appropriate
- Keep the overall platform, systems, data and information secure in applying best practices and techniques when it comes to security
- Perform network administration/maintenance and works toward continuous optimization of network performance and overall systems performance
- Deploy, test and maintain security systems such as VPNs, firewalls and email security
Requirements
- Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM, cloud and on-premise security layers is a plus
- Knowledge of networking solutions e.g. Cisco, HP, CheckPoint, Radware, Fortinet or equivalent
